A quem se destina:
· O workshop é destinado a fotógrafos, amantes da fotografia e da arte em geral, a quem deseja melhorar o seu olhar e saber mais sobre o que fizeram, o que fazem, como fizeram e como fazem os fotógrafos autores.
Objectivos:
· Aprender/discutir acerca de alguns pontos essenciais e incontornáveis da história da fotografia.
· Conhecer o percurso da fotografia até aos dias de hoje.
· Pensar a fotografia a partir do presente.
Conteúdos do Workshop:
· 3 Sessões teóricas, compostas pela projeção de filmes em inglês, com a duração de 26 minutos cada, sobre alguns pontos fulcrais da história da Fotografia, seguidos de uma discussão aberta sobre o que foi visto. Numa segunda fase, haverá lugar à projeção de slides de artistas cujo trabalho é essencialmente sobre paisagem, que será seguida de troca de impressões.
· 1 Sessão de avaliação de portefólios dos participantes.

· THE INVENTORS
How to get an exact image of the reality without drawing, or painting? This old dream is finally going to come true between 1820 and 1840, with the invention of the photography by Niepce, Talbot, Bayard and Daguerre, a visual revolution which is going to upset our report to the world.
· THE PRIMITIVE OF The PHOTOGRAPHY
In the middle of the 19th century, the photography is considered as a scientific curiosity. But as early as 1850 about ten photographers like Nadar, Gray, Baldus, Robinson, Rejlander and Fenton, are going to fight to make admit that the photography is an art.
· PICTORIALISM
Is the photography an art or a simple technique of reproduction of the reality? The debate re-appears at the end of 1880s with the pictorial list movement, which rejects the realism and the accuracy for a "artistic" photography in which the effects try to compete with the drawing and the painting.
· The EXPERIMENTAL PHOTOGRAPHY OF THE 20’S DECADE OF THE XX CENTURY
Close of the avant-garde movements of the twenties, the "New Vision" wants to throw out the old esthetics of the past and re-educate the human eye by the photography, inventing a new, experimental and dynamic visual language
· AFTER The PHOTOGRAPHY
Will the photography survive the XXIth? The disappearance of the argentic and the unlimited possibilities of the digital technology have changed the relation between us and the reality. In front of this new situation, photographers experiment the last technologies, but others practice it as an alter-photography deliberately "Low Tech"
